Advice provided to twenty or so founding partners when setting up a cluster for competitiveness supported by the Future Investments Program (Programme d’Investissements d’Avenir).
This new cluster for competitiveness which is a genuine joint-venture bringing together about twenty private partners as well as institutional and para public bodies, will offer its services to researchers and industrialists in the fields of analysis, evaluation and prevention of the effects of potentially toxic substances on man (environmental toxicology) and the environment (ecotoxicology).
Supported by the Future Investments Program in the frame of the « Clusters for Competitiveness » drive, the operation is characterized by a public/private joint-investment approach and a pooling of R&D resources intended to enhance company competitiveness and source the requisite funds to help it realize innovative projects.
Via joint and effective coordination, our teams have proven the firm’s capacity to source complementary specialist knowledge for high profile operations and that they have the requisite expertise to assist businesses with a high technological potential:
- The «Corporate Law – Venture Capital – M&A» team: structuring relations between future partners of the cluster, in particular in regard to corporate governance issues (by-laws, shareholders agreements etc.);
- The « Public Business Law » hub: reviews and validates the terms and conditions underlying the granting of public subsidies, regarding in particular European regulations bearing on public aid;
- The «Competition Law» Department: reviews and validates all aspects relating to Company Mergers;
- If required, the above teams can draw on the expertise of the « IP» and « Tax Law » teams at every stage of the above file.
